Mardi Gras celebrated over weekend in St. Louis

Posted on February 21st, 2012 No Comments

The 33rd Annual Soulard Mardi Gras celebration took place on Saturday and is said to be the second largest celebration for the event after New Orleans.

Thousands of people travel to  St. Louis in order to attend the celebration and the River City Casino Grand Parade. Floats travel down Broadway and the temperatures in the mid-40s did not stop people from standing along the route with beads and alcohol.

The city had a police task force in order to make sure that the people did not get out of control. Sixty-six minors were arrested for having alcohol at the event and no serious injuries were reported.  The theme for this year’s parade was “famous threesomes.” After the parade, parties continue through the rest of the night.

The Kansas City personal injury lawyers are wishing you and your family a safe Mardi Gras holiday.
